So, How is YOUR Week Going?

I can't seem to get it together this week. Do you need proof? Remember that nice, clean desk with nothing piled on the surface? What a faint memory that is.

And how is my family going to eat supper on this table tonight?
Here is my bed. It's difficult to see beneath all the laundry. At least the laundry is clean. I didn't take a picture of the dirty laundry overflowing the baskets.

Are you wondering why there are no sheets on the bed? Perhaps you are under the mistaken illusion that I am a really good homemaker who is faithful at washing my sheets every Tuesday. Be deluded no longer! Kiana peed on my pillow.

Yes, you read that right. I'm pretty sure she hasn't peed in the potty all day. She HAD been doing so well, we aren't wearing plastic pants anymore. Ask me how I feel about that after she sat on my pillow to read her books.

Sigh. I haven't even combed her hair today! Yes, Easton, you may have some animal crackers. Even though we are having supper in about 30 minutes. You want to watch Barney? Sure, go ahead--just share the animal crackers with sister.
Tomorrow is a new day, right?! I am oh, so thankful that Tuesday is Briana's night to make supper. I'll clean up the messes quick and eat her homemade rolls and beef and barley soup. Otherwise it would be a frozen pizza kind of night. Tomorrow. . .yes, I'll do better tomorrow!

Oh, and just for fun, enjoy the "Song That Never Ends"

  2. While I feel for you, its kinda nice to know that I'm not the only one! I feel like my homework is slowly squishing me, and housework? I haven't even had time to think about it. Hope your Wednesday is sane and productive :). Hope mine is too for that matter! lol

  4. I'm glad I'm not alone. Everybody has days/weeks like that. Hopefully today is a better day. Thank you for bravely adding pictures, made me laugh. A good way to start the day.

  5. Yes, you are very brave to add pictures! Ha! And, seeing that this post was written yesterday, I'm sure that things are back to normal for you today and everything's back in running order. Right? ;-) Also, if you happen to have "one of those days" next Monday, I know where you can leave your mess behind and get in on a free pizza meal. I won't even make you help clean up. :-)

  7. Thanks for the good laugh Shonya. I so can relate this week. My post would have to include my not so great mommy moments too. You know, the ones that make your kids look at you like you are a freak.....had one last night during dinner...whining, manipulating, arguing, not eating, being silly, whining, whining....then comes the crazy mommy moment. no need to say anymore right?! It's a good thing they are so cute (and so forgiving of our human moments!). Later Nathan says, "Mommy, I won't ever, ever, ever disobey again! I forgive you." Glad they are so forgiving as we make mistakes along the way! Love ya! Marcy

  8. If it's any comfort, your desk still looks cleaner in that picture than mine looks now (or most of the time). :) I identify... "yes, I'll do better tomorrow!" Sometimes I wish I didn't have to sleep, b/c I think of all the things I could get done. Yet that chance to start again after a night's rest is such a blessing and help. Hope you're feeling better about things now.

Kiana's rendition of that song is just precious.

  9. I'm laughing...with you, not at you! I am oh so familiar with your desk, your kitchen table and even the peeing in random places, although we have managed to avoid pillows, so far at least. Thanks for the reminder that I'm not the only one who has those kinds of days!

Love Kiana's singing; she's got skills!
