Easton realizes the significance of this moment (and Tyrell was taking it all in, anticipating his turn someday). Alan passed the knife to Easton, explaining who it had belonged to and the proper care and use of a pocketknife. He warned Easton that he likely would cut himself with it sometime, but to be careful.
I'm having fun validating this new season by asking Easton if he has a knife when one is needed (even when Daddy or Destry are right there with their own knives). He proudly brings it to me to cut whatever is needed. He is growing up so fast!
Ahhhhh! So sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteHow special, Easton.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the intentionalness (is that a real word?) of this moment!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, "intentionality", perhaps? I don't know and I'm too lazy to look it up this moment! :)
